Meet Ifeoma (@i_amahzingness), a professor and higher ed leader at UCLA. Ifeoma was recently chosen to represent Crossrope as a “model jumper” and participated in our spring 2024 photoshoot.
How important is physical activity for work?
While much of my work involves sitting at a desk on my computer, I also walk around monitoring different activities related to my unit and engage with students, faculty and staff. Physical activity is critical to my overall mental health and wellness. It provides me the extra energy and strength needed to engage with daily activities and manage my moods, feelings, and life challenges.
What are some of your other hobbies or interests?
I love dancing, listening to music, hanging out with family and friends, attending concerts, reading, occasionally traveling, and learning about history, language, culture, and traditions.
How do you feel while using/after using Crossrope?
It can make me feel amazing, rejuvenated, accomplished, ready for another workout, exhausted, tapped out, etc. during and after using Crossrope.
Do you do any other forms of exercise?
I use the Kukuwa Fitness website to engage in African Dance workouts. And I love Zumba. I used to take Zumba classes with colleagues at UCLA during my lunch break. These courses are often taught by undergraduate student trainers. And I enjoy occasionally taking other dance classes too.
Has Crossrope helped you excel in these other forms of exercise?
Yes, I am able to further build my endurance, stability, balance and stamina.
How do people usually react when you tell them about Crossrope?
People are usually very interested and/or excited to try out Crossrope products. Many people also reach out to me on social media when I post about my experiences with Crossrope.
Do you have any fitness goals you are currently working to achieve?
For this year, I hope to reach over a million jumps by December 2024. Therefore, I have been making sure I hit 100,000+ jumps each month since January. I complete the master-level Jump and Workout Challenges each month to hold myself accountable.
Do you have AMP?
Of course, I do!!!!!!! I feel like I can't live without AMP handles. I began my Crossrope journey without AMP handles so I used to count my own jumps. The AMP experience brought a whole new level of greatness to my Crossrope workouts. I am a visual learner. Therefore, seeing the documentation of my progress and results is AMAZING!
I use the Crossrope app daily. I have been doing so for the past 2 - 3 years. At the end of each year, I make video reels to posts on Instagram highlighting my monthly and annual accomplishments with the Crossrope app. Hopefully, my posts inspire someone else to achieve their own fitness goals, whatever they may be.
