Happy December! With the holidays just around the corner, we've put together a tough little holiday jump rope challenge to get you moving.
It's actually a compilation of three 60 second mini-challenges that are all built around different jump rope skills, exercises, and ropes.
If you're looking for a quick, fun workout challenge before the holiday feasts come around, then I encourage you to try this.
You ready to jump in on the fun?
What You're Going to Need
> Crossrope Plus Set - get the Crossrope Plus Set here> A timer - you can use your phone for this one> Some space to jump - I'll be jumping outdoors in the rain today (why not)
The Crossrope Plus Set comes with the four weighted jump ropes - starting from the black 1/4 Lb Agility Rope all the way up to the yellow 2 Lb Fury rope. For this challenge, I'll be using the Agility rope, Energy rope, and Intensity rope.
The Crossrope Plus Set comes with four weighted jump ropes and a pair of Rugged handles.
Note - If you don't have a Plus Set, try this workout with any jump rope. Just use the same rope for all rounds if you only have one rope.
Jump Rope Holiday Challenge
Here's what we're going to do for the jump rope holiday challenge.
Set your timer to 60 seconds on, 60 seconds off and complete the following three one-minute challenges one after the other:
Mini Jump Rope Challenge 1
The first mini-challenge is all about double unders. Your goal is to complete as many double unders as you can with the black 1/4 Lb agility rope in 60 seconds.
Make sure to mark down your score.
Mini Jump Rope Challenge 2
The second mini-challenge is all about testing your jump rope skills. I want you to choose one jump rope skill you've been working on (I'll be doing alternate foot criss-crosses) and complete as many unbroken rotations as you can in 60 seconds.
Use the blue 1/2 Lb Energy rope for this one and make sure to mark down your score.
Mini Jump Rope Challenge 3
The third and final mini challenge is all about max effort heavy rope jumps. Grab the orange 1 Lb Intensity rope (or the yellow 2 Lb Fury rope if you're really adventurous) and complete as many jumps as you can in 60 seconds.
You can try any skill you want, but go for speed.

Here are some important tips to keep in mind for this workout:
> If your double unders still need work and you want to improve your double under technique, check out our complete guide to mastering double unders.
> This challenge is a tough one so if you need to take longer breaks between your work rounds, feel free to extend your rest to 2 minutes between.
> For the second mini challenge, challenge yourself with a skill that you've been working on. If you're tripping up a lot, switch to the basic jump.
