What You're Going to Need

Here's what you're going to need for this workout:

> Crossrope Get Strong Set - get the Get Strong Set

> A timer - you can use your phone for this one

> Some space to jump - I'll be jumping outside today

The Get Strong Set comes with two heavy jump ropes - the grey 1 Lb rope and the black 2 Lb rope. For this workout I'll be using only the 1 Lb rope.

Note - the Get Strong Set is not mandatory for this workout, but we do recommend you use a heavy rope (explained below)

Why a Heavy Rope?

There are many advantages to using weighted ropes, but if you are a beginner then there are two important things to remember:

1. A heavy jump rope slows down your rotation, allowing you to focus more on your technique.

2. A heavy jump rope gives you better feel for the rope so you can time your jumps better and minimize your mistakes and frustration.

That's why we recommend heavy ropes to all of our beginners.

A Jump Rope Workout for Beginners

Today's workout is one of the easiest workouts we've put together, but if you're just getting started (or if you're looking to refine your technique), it's a really good one.

It's built around two simple jump rope exercises - basic jumps and alternate foot jumps - and is designed to have you progress from a slow pace to a fast pace.

Your objective is to complete five rounds of the following sequence of exercises and progressively increase the pace of your jumps from one round to the next:

- 30 seconds of basic jumps- 30 seconds of rest- 30 seconds of alternate foot jumps- 30 seconds of rest
