I just bought my Get Lean bundle of ropes and tried them during Christmas time. So far, I like how easy it is to jump with them. The rolling mechanism is so smooth, I move my wrist once at the start and 10 minutes later if I did not make a mistake, it is still rolling.
About strength, I'm not in shape. My cardio is ok, but my muscles are not. I felt the difference between 1/4 and 1/2 lb. You can feel the difference of weight when switching from a rope to the other. I used to jump with a leather rope, but after using the Crossrope, I felt some other muscles getting sore, so I suppose having the weight in the rope instead of the handles gives you this opportunity to go against gravity not just on the Y axis but on the X too. The stabilizer muscles get a work out too.
The materials used are great. I feel the handles won't slip. The clips holding the rope seem indestructible! I also like the sounds the rope makes. The tik tik tik on the floor can't be missed therefore I have the feeling I make less mistakes than with my other rope. (The whipping when you miss, though, is brutal. May be Crossrope will announce one day some weighted shin padding...)
My schedule will change as soon as January 2026, and my old cardio work out routine will not be possible. I have been thinking about the Crossrope jump ropes since 2024 but I never made the move to buy one. But my schedule will be special now and I needed to find the right equipment for the next year. This Christmas time test just proved I should have bought them sooner! They will be central for my health in 2026. The little bag for transport will be used because I'll be jumping everywhere.
...And I have my eyes on you, Heavy set ropes...I'll be jumping with that 3lbs one day, it's a goal now!
Since 2020 the get lean has helped stay in shape and keep extra weight off. I would definitely recommend!
I began with medium, and moved down to S when I got consistent. My goal is to hit 1 million jumps by March 2026. Moving to XS has allowed me to add 10 jumps per minute, and brought the goal of a Gold Star that munch loser. I am 5'9' male. My 1/2 pound is still S, as I do bump my head every now and then.
The weighted jump ropes are a perfect way to exercise. Planning to try the rope less version for winter use indoors! Highly recommend
I am just getting into jumping rope and was looking for a solid set of weighted ropes for cardio. I grabbed the AMP weighted set and they are great. The app really gives you great guidance on were to start and what ropes to use. The workouts have been great and have been a great change of pace from my normal routine. I look forward to skipping and tracking my progress in the app. The build quality is top notch and everything seems durable.
This my second skipping rope because I worn out the first one and love it.
I guess i exercise to much.
The heavier rope has been a great addition to my workouts. Love the ropes, the AMP handles and the website.
The need for a quieter way to jump rope was my motivation for purchasing Ropeless 1/4, 1/2 & 1# ropes. I wondered if I would get the same "feel" as swinging the rope. After just a few workouts with the system, I can say I think Ropeless is a little harder than the regular ropes. The feel is definitely there, but because the weight of the rope is much closer to the body/arms/shoulders rather than distributed across a length of rope, I find I seem to tire a little easier/faster using Ropeless. That's OK!
I can jump indoors more easily now and w/o disturbing my husband. In fact, since receiving Ropeless, I've jumped more in the last 2 weeks than almost all last month. I really enjoy the flexibility I have in workouts, as I can scale back the jumping by just stepping in place during "jump" sessions. Plus, I can switch between Rope & Ropeless on any program.
I'm glad I got this system and look forward to using it for many years to come.
Well I gotta say there is a difference with the heavy handles on the two pounds and the one pounds and the handles feel very comfortable too cheers people..
Integrated these between ropes into my workouts and have been loving the novel additional challenge beyond 1/4, 1/2, 1LB etc. This has significantly changed my pacing and approach, very much enjoying these!
I am glad that I have the 1.5 pound rope when I am too comfortable jumping with the one pounder
Yep… These things are expensive. I’ve had jump rope in my workout routine for years now. The last several years, I’ve been trying to get weighted handles to improve the effects of the workouts. I stumbled across CrossRope and was very hesitant to make a purchase at first. I went ahead and took the plunge and got heavy handles and a 1 pound rope. I had no idea how much harder a weighted rope is versus just weighted handles. It’s night and day! The rope was a tad too short for me and the exchange process was absolutely painless. Customer service is off the chain good! If you know you want jump rope in your workout routine, I’m here to tell you a weighted rope is completely different than just weighted handles. Super pleased with my purchase. I also added a second rope and a second pair of handles as I travel quite a bit. Also… The 1 lb rope was just kicking my butt! So…I had to drop it down to 3/4 of a pound. (Can’t even fathom a 2 lb rope much less a five.). Perhaps down the road… Like I said. Game changer.
These make for a fantastic workout. You wouldn't think the lightest weights would have much benefit, but they do! And the coordination it takes is crazy too.
Awesome burn if you want a rope that will challenge your strength and might. Get the 2lb rope and begin the calorie burning body shedding jump roping. Highly recommend it big facts!
I highly recommend getting a jump rope from crossrope. Customer service is excellent and the crossrope app is amazing!!
I recently bought a set of weighted Cross Ropes, and wow… these things are kicking my butt in the BEST way possible! I’ve been using them along with my rebounder, and the combination is incredible. The ropes give me that upper-body burn and power, while the rebounder keeps everything low-impact on my joints.
The weight of the ropes makes every swing feel purposeful, and I can definitely tell I’m building strength and stamina. I love that I can feel my heart rate climb within seconds — it’s such an efficient workout. Even though they challenge me, I actually look forward to using them because I’m already noticing a difference in how strong and energized I feel.
If you want a workout that’s fun, effective, and really makes you work, these weighted Cross Ropes are amazing. I absolutely love them!
I use it frequently and so go for my mental help. I want to order the AMp but afraid it will break. It my morning routine and love the freedon
I've been using my old 'Get Lean' handles for a while now and the black velvety parts are breaking down and getting all over my hands and everything I touch. I need to covers or wraps for them. The 1/2 lb ropeless that I purchased make me feel like it was worth the investment -- I just wish there were a basic set of handles without electronics that are compatible and won't fall apart on me
I started out with the large ropes and now tried out a medium one to see if it was a better fit. Great quality and value.
I am a jump rope person from way back in the 1980’s and Crossropes are the ropes and handles I have ever used. Thank you. Worth the investment!
